Shilpkaar: Fabric Construction

BRIEF
To develop surfaces using different kinds of techniques based off an inspiration. In my case, the inspiration is derived from the Hrinkar Teerth Jain Temple, situated beside the Vijayawada-Guntur Highway.

Studying the form of the chosen inspiration and deriving simple patterns/layouts to further translate into fabric swatches.
FINAL SWATCHES
All swatches are made up of three layers- Base Layer (Muslin Fabric), Middle Layer (Foam Sheet), and Upper Layer (Polyester Fabric). 
Purpose: To provide stability and sturdiness, similar to the attributes of the chosen inspiration, i.e. the temple architecture.
Common Techniques Used Throughout: Sewing, Cording, Stuffing and Machine Embroidery
